MELBOURNE, FL - After tying for second during the first round of the Harmony Golf Preserve Intercollegiate, Richard Donegan shot 71 (-1) to take the individual lead. Florida Atlantic University fell to second-place, carding 3-over 579 over the two rounds of play.
Alex Gates, a junior from Orlando, advanced to third-place, tied with Marco Iten who was previously tied for second with Donegan. Gates had previously been tied for fifth after round one. Airik Medinis tied for fifth after the first round, but the golfer has fallen to a tenth-place tie.
Clinton Wilhem and Derron Peyton carded rounds of 75 (+3) and 78 (+6), respectively, bringing both players to a total 6-over 150, tying for 19th. Frank Berzanskis rounds out the Owls' team, shooting 6-over 78 for a 30th place finish.
Austin Peay State moved to first-place (2-over 578), but with Florida Atlantic sitting in second they still have a chance to take the win during the third and final round today.
