Tampa, FL -The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team shot a 315 in the first round of the Dick Wittcoff/USF Invitational Friday, finishing the first day of the competition in 12th place. The Owls will enter the second day of the event with an excellent opportunity to move up the chart as they are currently only fifteen shots out of first place.

Junior Kevin Clark and sophomore Ben Gardner led the way for FAU with opening-round 77's. Freshman Marco Morales shot the third-best score with an 80.

The second round of the three-round event will be played on Saturday, with the final round following on Sunday.
