Football Begins Saturday with Practice and Ends the Day with Beach Party
Dec. 16, 2017

The Florida Atlantic University football team (10-3) began Saturday with an ocean view from the hotel window. The Owls traveled less than two miles to practice for the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl and will end the day with a bowl-sponsored beach party. The Owls will take on Akron (7-6) Tuesday, Dec. 19 at FAU Stadium, at 7 p.m. It will be broadcasted across the board on ESPN, ESPN National Radio, and ESPN West Palm 106.3.

Saturday Comments from Head Coach Lane Kiffin

"Started a little slow today. For whatever reason, probably distractions with all the bowl stuff going on, things like that. We refocused them. Stop listening with everything around them on how good they are...if you don't have the right mindset, you get beat. Just like Buffalo.  Hopefully, we keep getting better and they come back focused tomorrow."

"I have told them, this team coming in can beat you. They have a ton of kids from Florida and obviously this would be a huge win for them. Practice like that and you are going to get beat."
