Football Continues Bowl Prep with Friday Practice
Dec. 15, 2017

BOCA RATON, Fla. --
Florida Atlantic University football completed day two of practice ahead of Tuesday's Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl. The Owls (10-3) will take on Akron (7-6) that night at FAU Stadium, at 7 p.m. It will be broadcasted across the board on ESPN, ESPN National Radio, and ESPN West Palm 106.3.

Friday Comments from Head Coach Lane Kiffin

"Not one of our better practices. I think that probably we have either had a lot of time off or when we have practiced it has not been really long practices. On a good note, we got back into it, being a Tuesday practice, which always our hardest practice. It has been a while since we have had one of those. You could tell that today. Hopefully we will come back and practice better tomorrow. I think it is good that, people talk about home field, but just thinking about when you go to bowl games and all the distractions and different places to practice and getting changed, different climates and all those things. On a positive note. I hope that helps us. We have a lot of work left to do."

"I have told them, this team coming in can beat you. They have a ton of kids from Florida and obviously this would be a huge win for them. Practice like that and you are going to get beat."

Noteworthy

Sophomore running back Devin Singletary was named Fourth Team All-American by Phil Steele's Magazine. The honor is the second such award after being named Third Team All-American earlier this week by the Associated Press.
