Lead by example -- that is what my parents did and I love them for it. My mom, Yvonne, graduated from college in 2004 and then earned her master's degree. She gave me her graduation cap and I carry it with me as a reminder that I can graduate too. My mom, a strong Christian, has raised seven boys, taught special education and done yard work to make sure we were fed. I don't know how she did it. My dad is awesome. He had to drop out of high school to raise his brothers and sisters. He gave us tough love even though we knew he was a big softy. He taught us not only to be men, but to be gentlemen. I look forward to the games they can see and do everything I can to make them proud. My graduation is just around the corner. I plan on returning my mom's graduation cap after earning my own cap -- one that represents my degree in exercise science and health administration.
My name is Alfred Morris.
I was the 2010 FAU Male Student Athlete of the Year.
I am FAU's All-Time Leading Rusher, All-Purpose and TD Leader.
