Morning showers, special guests Joe Girardi, Florida Atlantic President John Kelly and ESPN GameDay tapings were on tap for Florida Atlantic University football Wednesday morning. But, nothing overshadowed the work that needed to be done in preparation for Saturday’s home contest versus Conference USA opponent FIU.

Tuesday Comments from Head Coach Lane Kiffin
"Not a very good practice today. Poor showing similar to early last week. I’m not sure why. I wish I had that answer. I think they understand that. I made that pretty clear after practice. We need to get to work and realize that, like Joe Girardi just told them, things get taken away from you quick. It was good having Joe out there today. (He’s) coming to the game Saturday night, hopefully we can put on a good show for him."

Tickets for the Owls' last regular season home contest against FIU, the 16th annual Shula Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 18, can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls.
