BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Florida Atlantic University’s football team returned to the practice fields for the second day of 2017 Shula Bowl preparation. The Owls concentrated their efforts on one practice field as the second was re-sodded last week.
"Not our best practice. Not our worst, but started a little bit slow. Similar to last week. So, I think they did a good job of talking to each other and getting a little bit better. They realized how it started. Obviously, we have to get it right tomorrow and have a really good practice tomorrow. Same as last week. It is what it is. This (FIU) is a really good team that plays really, really good at times. Watching, last night, goal line and short yardage, (they are) very physical on defense and give people a lot of problems. The quarterback’s playing well. We are going to have our hands full."
Tickets for the Owls' last regular season home contest against FIU, the 16th annual Shula Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 18, can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls.
The FAU game versus FIU will air on STADIUM with the call coming from Ron Thulin. Max Starks will provide the analysis and Mandi Morris will be on the sideline.
