BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Tuesday's practice was a bit of the normal and a bit of the abnormal. First with the normal, the temperatures returned to the mid to upper 80's with not a cloud in the sky. The players had grown accustomed to upper 70's and overcast skies, making for a drastic switch back for the Owls. The abnormal came in the way the team practiced and without the same mindset the Owls usually bring.
Tuesday Comments from Head Coach Lane Kiffin
"For whatever reason, (today was the) first average, subpar practice that we have had in a while. Probably a combination of getting into full pads, two hot days in a row. Tuesday is always the hardest practice and probably a combination of listening to people. So, not real good. As we always do, tell it how it is, good and bad. Hopefully, they come back different tomorrow. At every level, but especially this conference...is so balanced. You can't look at records. This team (Louisiana Tech) is really good. I knew the storyline of South Carolina even when I hadn't watched it...I went ahead and watched it. That game was over in South Carolina, who I think is in second place in their division. This is a good team. They have had some really bad luck. A lot of injuries, gotten some guys back, and so it is going to be a difficult game."
