BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Dark clouds hovered over the Florida Atlantic University Tom Oxley Practice Fields as the Owls took the field for practice two of the week. FAU got a full day's work in before the afternoon showers became a reality.
While weather is something FAU is accustomed to combatting, this weekend's projected weather for the Florida Atlantic game at WKU in Bowling Green, Ky. is predicted to be cold, something new for the Florida-heavy roster. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. EST.
Tuesday Comments from Head Coach Lane Kiffin
"Another good practice. I think it is kinda the same story as the last couple of weeks. I think the guys have a confidence about themselves. They are governing themselves and getting onto each other and holding each other to a high standard. I think we are in a good place. I'm excited to see these guys play again. Obviously, we have been playing so well lately so this will be a big test for us. A team (WKU) that has had a lot of success over the years. Won a lot of games. Very good quarterback and not weather we are used to so we are going to have our hands full and can't take anything for granted. These guys are a good team."
Tickets for the Owls' next home contest against Marshall Friday, Nov. 3, can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls.
All games air on ESPN West Palm 106.3 with the pregame show beginning one hour prior to kick. Ken LaVicka and FAU alum Kris Bartels will have the call.
The FAU game at WKU will air on STADIUM.
