FAU Football Downed by UNT, 31-10
The Florida Atlantic University football team fell to the University of North Texas 31-10 in Conference USA play Saturday. The loss moved the Owls' record to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in C-USA games and ended FAU's hope for a possible bowl opportunity.

Head Coach Lane Kiffin Post-Practice Comments
"Guys practiced well, hopefully we're fixing what I believe are our two major issues, which is tackling on the back end on defense and the passing game on offense. Hopefully we're improving those, because as I told them today, if you're going to be a championship team, championship teams eventually get exposed by good teams if you don't fix your issues."

Tickets for the Owls' next contest, the Homecoming game against North Texas on Oct. 21, can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls. The game will air on ESPN West Palm 106.3 with the pregame show beginning at 4 p.m. Ken LaVicka and FAU alum Kris Bartels will have the call. The game will air on ESPN3. Inside the Owls' Burrow
This week's Inside the Owls' Burrow will air on Fox Sports Florida Thursday at 4 p.m. and re-air Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Host Frank Forte will be joined by defensive coordinator and linebackers' coach Chris Kiffin, a `pads-off segment' detailing the art of the field goal holding, and Howard Schnellenberger, who led the Owls to the program's first conference championship in 2007. Here's a clip from last week's show featuring defensive lineman Steven Leggett.
