The Florida Atlantic University football team had their final run-through on campus on Thursday. The Owls travel to face the University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Saturday's game between FAU and Louisiana-Lafayette has been picked up as part of the ESPN GamePlan Pay-Per-View package. The Owl club is hosting a watch party at Duffy's Sports Bar and Grill, 21212 St. Andrew's Blvd. Boca Raton, right next to the Town Center Mall. There will be free appetizers for FAU supporters, as well as happy hour specials throughout the evening. There will also be giveaways and FAU merchandise sold during the watch party.
Saturday's contest can also be seen on the radio in South Florida on WMEN-AM 640, as well as on the web at fausports.com.
Next Monday, join Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger and host Dave Lamont for the FAU SportsPage, live at Coyote Jack's Bar and Grill inside the FAU student union, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton. The show takes place from 7-8 p.m. and can also be heard on WMEN-AM 640.
FAU returns home on October 27, when the Owls travel to Louisiana-Monroe. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. Next Saturday is Homecoming. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a free seat cushion, courtesy of Publix. For tickets, call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
