Senior Kicker Ross Gornall

Oct. 17, 2010

He was the man who pushed me. He was my coach. He was Don, better known to me as Dad. My dad passed away when I was 11, but he had already taught me the importance of teamwork and leadership. I also appreciate the efforts my mother made to make sure I had the opportunity to build relationships with good coaches and role models. I know my role as a kicker, but I also know the importance of leaders and the significance of spending time together. As a senior, my goal is to help create ways to build team unity. It may be a barbeque, it might mean providing a place to hang out, preferably around the water. Leaders come in all forms and sometimes the time with them seems short, but the impact is all the same.

My name is Ross Gornall.
I'm a senior kicker for FAU.
