BOCA RATON -
The "Big Bad Burley Bird" was introduced by Howard Schnellenberger, Florida Atlantic University's Director of Football Operations and Head Coach, three years ago. That bird now has a face, a personality and a soul. You can meet the individuals who have brought life to the inaugural squad, through "The Howard Schnellenberger Show" which will air 2:30 - 3:00 pm, October 28 on CBS News 12.
Five Star Production, a Football Founder, and Coach Schnellenberger have teamed together to introduce selected players. The first show features Dave Richards, a defensive tackle from Delray Beach (Spanish River HS), James Ray, an offensive lineman from Boca Raton (Boca Raton HS), Thomas Parker, a wide receiver from Miami (Northwestern HS), Kevin Ketchum, an offensive lineman from Miami (Plametto), Mauratae Johnson, a defensive back from West Palm Beach (Suncoast HS), Eddie Dunbar, a tight end from Pompano (Northeast HS), Mario Fernandez, a quarterback from Miami (Hialeah HS) and Anthony Jackson, a running back from Delray Beach (Olympic Heights HS).
While Schnellenberger introduces the players, high school coaches, fathers, mothers and those who have had a major influence will give fans an insight on the individuals who bring a pulse to the FAU "Big Bad Burley Owls".
The second of three shows will follow a similar format and will air November 11, again on CBS New 12, which is also a football Founder.
