BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team had a spirited practice on Wednesday in preparation for its game against North Texas on Saturday. The offense provided two highlight reel worthy plays on Wednesday as Travis Jones made a touchdown run against the defense that included several cutbacks and changes of direction and Rusty Smith hooked up with Jamari Grant on a long completion down on the middle of the field.
The squad is scheduled to practice 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger announced that Thursday's practice will be held on the infield of the FAU Track Facility. All practices are free and open to the public.

Florida Atlantic University senior quarterback is listed no. 14 nationally among all quarterbacks with a minimum of 750 pass attempts in lowest career percentage. Smith has a 2.72 interception percentage and is the Sun Belt player listed. Florida's Tim Tebow is first (1.70). Central Michigan's Dan LeFevour who FAU faced in the 2008 Motor City Bowl is listed 5th (2.22) and Colt McCoy from Texas, FAU faced in 2008, is listed 16 at 2.87.
