Tuesday's Practice Report and a Chance to Get to Know Kendal Briles
Oct. 10, 2017

BOCA RATON, Fla. -

The Owls took to the practice fields Tuesday morning with the idea of working on the passing game, tackling and the kick return game for special teams. Florida Atlantic's practice was handled by Head Coach Lane Kiffin, the coordinators and the graduate students, as the remainder of the assistant coaches hit the recruiting trails. General theme -- The Owls are doing exactly what they need to do to make FAU better.

Tuesday Comments from Head Coach Lane Kiffin

"Physical practice today. You don't think that you have to be careful about drilling too good, taking care of players in the bye...you get out of rhythm of playing so, I said it yesterday that it doesn't mean you get a bye because you played really good last week. Look at our game last week, they (ODU) were coming off five straight games and they just had a bye. I think you have to be careful tackling, so we did some tackling drills today because of the layoff and we need to work on that anyway. Guys' spirits were good. Energy was good. Very physical, aggressive practice."

Tickets for the Owls' next contest, the Homecoming game against North Texas on Oct. 21, can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls. The game will air on ESPN West Palm 106.3 with the pregame show beginning at 4 p.m. Ken LaVicka and FAU alum Kris Bartels will have the call. The game will air on ESPN3.
