Boca Raton, FL - Florida Atlantic University's athletic department will honor Balfour Beatty/James A. Cummings construction workers that contributed to the construction of FAU's new on-campus football stadium during the inaugural home football game on Saturday, October 15 against Western Kentucky University.
These construction workers will participate in a pregame ceremony where they will hold and present an American flag that will cover the entire length of the playing field.
Earlier this summer, FAU football players served lunch to the construction workers in appreciation for the numerous hours spent on the project. Workers also wrote their names on a beam within the stadium.
The open-air stadium, a $70 million project, has 30,000 seats and features 6,000 premium seats, including 24 suites, 26 loge boxes, 1,000 premier club seats and 4,000 priority club seats, and the latest, state-of-the-art amenities.
