BOCA RATON, FL -
The Florida Atlantic University football team went through its second day of full contact drills Wednesday afternoon at the tom Oxley Practice Field in Boca Raton. For head coach Howard Schnellenberger, day two showed with his team.
Today the kids ran into a brick wall," said Schnellenberger. "The two days in a row in pads plus the plays we've been putting in all started to run together and took some of their enthusiasm away."
"There'll be days like today," added Schnellenberger. "But, the important thing is they bounce back and restart their learning process again."
Schnellenberger, however, did see improvement in other areas.
"I think our quarterbacks are beginning to throw with a bit more decisiveness," he said. "That should continue with more reps and as they get to know their receivers and offense better."
