BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University will host several events leading up to FAU's football home game against USF on Saturday, October 6.
Join members of the FAU cheerleading squad, dance team and football team, as well as Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger and Owsley the Mascot, as they host a pep rally beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 1 at Coyote Jack's Grill in the FAU Student Union, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton. Festivities will include giveaways, live music from Owl Radio, food and drink specials, and much more. The pep rally will immediately be followed by a live broadcast of the FAU SportsPage radio call-in show from 7 to 8 p.m. The program will be simulcast on WMEN-640AM with in-depth coverage of your FAU Owls and your opportunity to talk to the coach live by calling 1-877-WMEN-640.
Coach Schnellenberger will host the Coaches' breakfast on Friday, October 5 at 8 a.m. in the Founders' Room of the Tom Oxley Athletic Center. Breakfast and coffee will be provided by Dunkin' Donuts. Coach Schnellenberger will provide insight as the team prepares for its game against the USF. The event is free and open to the public.
The Florida Atlantic University football team hosts #6/9 USF on Saturday, October 6. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
Saturday is FAU Youth Day. Parents, treat the kids to an event they're sure to love. Enjoy carnival rides, games, giveaways, live band, a special appearance from SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as the FAU Cheerleaders, Dance Team, Owsley the Mascot and much more! Youth Day activities begin at 1 p.m. Must have a football ticket for the FAU vs. South Florida game to attend Youth Day festivities.
