A full weekend of events are planned leading up to Florida Atlantic's football home opener against Sun-Belt co-champ Middle Tennessee State on Saturday at Lockhart Stadium at 4 p.m.
It all begins tonight with the FAU kick-off pep rally at the Boca Ale House on Yamato Road from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Along with the festivities free appetizers and happy hour specials are available, and the event will include an appearance by Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger.
Friday morning, Coach Schnellenberger will host the season's first coach's breakfast, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Founders Lounge inside of the Oxley Center. The event is free and open to the public and Dunkin' Donuts will provide food for the event.
It all leads up to Saturday as FAU opens its 2007 campaign against last year's Sun Belt co-champion Middle Tennessee State at 4 p.m. Season tickets are available for the entire season for as low as $54, and individual game tickets are also available by calling the FAU ticket office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS,. Walk-up tickets are also available the day of the game at Lockhart Stadium, and students can get in free with their Owl card for Saturday's game. The game will also be carried on the radio on WMEN AM 640 in Boca Raton and south Florida, and over the World Wide Web on fausports.com.
