BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Coach Kiffin Tuesday Presser Lane Kiffin discusses Tuesday's practice that had a projected heat index of 105 degrees and the latest report about his departure from Alabama.
On Tuesday's Practice
A lot of work. Guys had to really push through. Obviously, it is a good thing for us because the practice is harder than the game is playing in this temperature. So, that was good. We still have a lot of work to do. We are still sloppy on offense with the ball. Taking care of it. So, we have a lot of work to do in whatever it is, the next 72 hours.
What area do you feel the most comfortable with at this stage?
I would say the defense. If we were playing a normal team. I think this game is such a wildcard with what they do. So hard to practice what they do that. I don't think this game will dictate what our season is like on defense whether we are good or bad in it. I like where we are at in general on defense.
When you left Alabama there was a lot written and said about that. But, as recent as yesterday there was a story in Bleacher Report. Does that bug you as you are getting ready for your first game at FAU?
I don't think that it really bugs me. It may bug me when people write an article that puts no names to it. Everything negative in the article is just referring to an unidentified source. That part kinda bugs me. But, it is what it is. You guys get to write whatever you want and are never held accountable for it. As I have told you before, you guys got great jobs.
