My parents, Audrey and Joseph Bailey Sr., have always stressed doing the little things right. I could make all A's and one B and their response would be "What are you doing to improve the B?" I knew they were proud of the A's but, I also learned doing the little things right is what improved those B's.
I try not to miss opportunities to make myself better. When you miss class you miss opportunities to learn. When you skip treatment in the training room soreness mounts. When you miss the weight room you get beat in practice and in games.
For some, last spring was difficult. The new staff emphasized the importance of doing all the little things in life that will make us succeed. To me, it has been no different than the life lessons my parents taught.
Doing the little things has made me the person, student and athlete I am today and has given me the foundation for my future.
