BOCA RATON, FL - The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) released the conference football broadcast schedule as part of Sun Belt Media Days, which is being held New Orleans, LA.
Two Florida Atlantic University football games will be shown on television. More games could be added as part of the Sun Belt Network package.
FAU's September 15 game at the University of Georgia will be shown live on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Owls' second television appearance will come on November 3 when they travel to Annapolis, MD to play Navy. The game will be shown on CBS Sports Network with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
FAU's home game against rival FIU on November 16 will be shown on ESPNU. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
FAU's 2012 football media guide in now available for download on the website. The media guide features bios, photos and stats on all of the Owls' players and coaches as well as historical information on the football program.
The SBC also released its preseason poll with FIU picked to win the conference, followed by Arkansas State University, the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, and Western Kentucky University. Troy University was picked to finish 5th, ULM 6th, Middle Tennessee State University 7th, with the University of North Texas and FAU selected 8th and 9th respectively. South Alabama was picked 10th in the poll.
