BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football returned to the practice field for a day that started cloud and cool for south Florida, but by practice time the temperature mimicked a September or October game day.
FAU began the day with 25 minutes of indo work. The Owls then went through a shortened install and inside drill as compared to last week.
Seven-on-seven provided the excitement with the quarterbacks making the passes only being intercepted once. FAU then went through team work featuring third and long and situations.
The day ended with a scrimmage that focused on third down situations. David Kooi found Byron Hankerson and DeAndre Richardson while Frank Thompson had the run of the day. Wednesday's practice ended with special teams work.
The Owls will open the 2011 campaign at the University of Florida, September 3, 2011. The Owls will run into their new on-campus stadium October 15, 2011.
