BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team got in their second workout of the 2011 spring schedule under a beautiful sky. The Owls will return to the field 11 a.m. Saturday morning for the first session with full pads.

FAU began practice with individual drills follow by 15 minutes of installing the passing game. The bulk of the day was spent on seven-on-seven. The Owls returned to their units for run installation and defense. Friday ended with 20 minutes of team and special teams.

Seven-on-seven saw David Kooi hit rising redshirt sophomore Nexon Dorvilus over the middle for a big gain. Linebacker Yourhighness Morgan held the offense in check with an interception thrown by freshman Stephen Curtis. During team drills it was Damian Fortner who had the long run.

The Owls will open the 2011 campaign at the University of Florida, September 3, 2011. The Owls will run into their new on-campus stadium October 15, 2011.
