BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team enjoyed cool weather at Wednesday morning's practice, the first 2013 practice for the Owls to hold an extended scrimmage.

All three quarterbacks received work under center and all three were able to lead the offense on a scoring drive.

Melvin German was the first to lead the offense down the field with a William Dukes connection for a big gain setting up a score. Shortly thereafter, freshman defensive lineman Lance Burlingame made a big stop for a loss. Martese Jackson was a go-to guy in the back field with several strong carries.

Stephen Curtis was next under center. Curtis threw to backs, tight ends and receivers to move down field. Rounding out the quarterback trio was newcomer Jaquez Johnson who made use of his time by finding Jeremy Glinton for a score. The play of the day was a shoe-string catch by Derek Moise who stumbled but kept his balance to run the final 10 yards into the end zone.

The Owls will return to the practice field Friday, March 27 at 9 a.m. Practices are closed to the general public.
