BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team began "Spring Drills" week two with shorts and helmets.

"Today was a good day," said Carl Pelini, FAU's head football coach. "They got after it, worked hard and got better."

The offensive day began with Graham Wilbert hitting both William Dukes and Paul Moore. Wilbert then ran an option play with Travis Jones completing the run. The following team session belonged to Stephen Curtis who found William Dukes. Jones continued to impress with runs to the outside while Curtis kept for a gain. Team session three saw Wilbert hit Hakeeme Ishmar in stride. The day was not all offense with a Brentley Harstad interception late in the final session. Curtis found Moore to end the day on a positive note.

FAU will practice three more times this week with the Owls expected to be back in full pads on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The 2012 Spring Game is scheduled for 6 p.m., April 14 in the FAU Football Stadium. A seat selection opportunity will begin at 5 p.m. for those wishing to select their seats for the first time. Fans, who wish to renew or upgrade season tickets from a year ago, can do so now by logging into their account. Questions can be directed to the FAU ticket office at 1-866-FAU-Owls.
