BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University football team donned pads for the first time of 2012 while conditioning continues to be the main focus and adjustment.

"They are getting in better shape," said Carl Pelini, FAU's head football coach. "Full pads are the next step and the players like it more because it's not like flag football anymore."

Working in a no huddle offense and receiving the plays as a team was worked on during three team sessions.

Stephen Curtis connected with two receivers Hakeem Ishmar and William Dukes while incoming quarterback Grant Flessner found Paul Moore.

The Owls will be on the field Saturday morning and will be in full pads for the first time this spring.
