BOCA RATON, Fla. -
Florida Atlantic University’s football team completed preparation for its first scrimmage of the spring with a practice on Friday morning.
The Owls concentrated on individual drills during the first portion of practice and finished the day with full team work.
The first of two spring scrimmages is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at the FAU Football Stadium, 777 Glades Rd, Boca Raton. The scrimmage will be free and open to the public.
“We want to be able to establish the run game, take care of the football, play physical and fast, get lined up and execute the basic fundamentals. (We will also work on) the timing I have talked about in the pass game,” said Brian Wright, FAU’s Associate Head Coach, about his scrimmage expectations. “I want to see that improve in our offense.”
The REDBLUE 2014 Spring Game will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 5, and will be held in the FAU Football Stadium. The game will also be free and open to the public.
Football season tickets are on sale and can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS. FAU will open the 2014 season on Saturday, Aug. 30 at the University of Nebraska.
