BOCA RATON, FL (February 7, 2007) - Florida Atlantic University's football program announced that 17 players signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent to play for the Owls beginning in the fall of 2007.
"With an ever improving schedule and the commitment by the FAU Board of Trustee to move forward with an on-campus stadium, we have been able to attract the strongest recruiting class ever," said FAU head coach Howard Schnellenberger.
The Owls lost just 10 seniors to graduation and return a class of 32 would be juniors (22) and seniors (10). The 2007 class, loaded with talent, will have an opportunity to earn a position right away but, more importantly, FAU will have the option of building depth as the program builds for the future.
