Head football coach Howard Schnellenberger announced the signing of 26 recruits on Wednesday.

Feb. 4, 2009

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University Football Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger announced the program's 2009 signing class today, marking the 10th signing class for the successful football program.

The FAU football team was the only university program in the state of Florida to win back-to-back bowl titles in 2007 and 2008. The 2007 Sun Belt Conference title, the 2007 New Orleans Bowl victory, and the 2008 Motor City Bowl victory helped to attract the 26 members of the latest signing class.

FAU once again focused a majority of its recruiting efforts in the "Florida Atlantic Territory," the area that includes the I-4 corridor from Tampa east to Orlando south.

The Owls will celebrate the 2008 Motor City Bowl victory and welcome the 2009 class at the 2009 Motor City Bowl Celebration on Friday, February 6 at 5 p.m. in the FAU Arena, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

Schnellenberger, staff and the football team, as well as the FAU cheerleaders, dance team, marching band and community leaders will be in attendance. Commemorative posters and DVDs also will be available.
