BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University Athletics has been invited to participate in the Delray Beach Pro-Bowl Kickoff Weekend on Thursday, January 28 from 6 to 10 p.m.

The event, sponsored by Downtown Delray Beach, will feature a punt, pass and kick contest and will have members of the FAU football team, as well as its cheerleaders on-hand.

FAU Head Football Coach Howard Schnellenberger also will attend and sign autographs from 6 to 8 p.m. Schnellenberger, a former NFL head coach and assistant, also recruited and coached four past Pro-Bowl participants.

Following the event, Schnellenberger will begin work as a coach in the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Game, where he will defend the championship he captured one year ago. As part of the game, he also will coach two FAU players, Rusty Smith and Jason Harmon.
