FAU will compete in Conference USA's eastern division.

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University Athletics will compete in the east division of Conference USA, as announced at the league meeting in Miami today.
For the first time since 2001, each of FAU's 19 teams will compete in the same conference. The Owls will face eastern division opponents Eastern Carolina University, FIU, Marshall University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Southern Mississippi and UAB.
The league also announced the home and away football opponents for the Owls. FAU will play host to MTSU and FIU, two teams that FAU has a rich history playing against in football. They hold an all-time record of 3-8 versus MTSU and 9-2 against FIU. FAU also will play host to Tulane University and Marshall for the first time in the program's history.
The Owls' away games for the 2013-14 season will take place at Southern Miss, as well as at East Carolina and Rice universities for the first time. They also will face off against UAB for the first time as a conference foe, while holding a 3-1 all-time record versus the Blazers.
The non-conference football schedule will include match-ups at the University of Miami (first meeting), at USF (0-3 all-time) and Auburn (0-1), while hosting New Mexico State (0-1).
Game dates and times will be announced at a later date.
