Earned a spot on the Phil Steele's 2011 Preseason All-SBC Team (4th C)

2010: Suffered a torn ACL in the first week of preseason drills...returned to the team in the spring.

2009: Saw action in the second quarter and late in the game spelling the starting center in four games....used the spring to begin calling the defenses and to work with Jeff Van Camp...the duo worked closed during the 2009 season until Van Camp moved into the no. 1 spot.

Motor City Bowl: Traveled with the squad.

2008: Used the year as his redshirt season.

High School: Played for Allen Held at South Broward High School, where he recorded 50 tackles and five sacks playing on the defensive side of the ball...earned second-team All-Broward honors as both a junior and senior...participated in the North and South and Broward vs. Dade All-Star Games...two-sport athlete (football and wrestling, a sport in which he captured regional honors)...winner of the Brian Piccolo Scholar Athlete Award...posted a 1250 on his SAT and was a Dean's List member...Bright Futures Academic Scholar...also met the requirements for Eagle Scout...chose FAU after considering offers from the Sun Belt and the Big 10 Conference.
