New Orleans Bowl: Recorded three tackles, two assists versus Memphis.

2007: Injuries forced into a leadership position...often the only starter from the opening game on the line...began the year as an anchor on the most athletic defensive line in the program's seven-year history...line held MTSU rushing attack to 18 yards on the ground...saw limited action at North Texas due to illness...served as a game captain versus USF...recorded a season-high four tackles twice, the first at Lafayette the second in the critical game at Troy...had two tackles for a loss the versus USF, Lafayette and Arkansas State...sacks came against Lafayette and Arkansas State...recovered a fumble at Louisiana-Monroe and batted down a pass against Arkansas State...will enter his senior campaign with 36-consecutive starts.

2006: Played in every game, starting each...led the lineman with 46 total tackles, including six for a loss of 28 yards...had three sacks for a loss of 28...forced two fumbles...was part of a defensive line that doubled the team sack total from 2005...had 10 tackles against Troy, including one for a loss of three yards...also had strong games against Louisiana-Lafayette with seven and Middle Tennessee with six...credited with two forced fumbles, one at Clemson, the other at South Carolina...broke up three passes on the year...true student of the game.

2005: Began developing into a defensive lineman of the future...played in every game...tallied 38 total tackles, including 18 solo tackles...recorded his first tackle for a loss against game later recorded 10 total tackles and a season-high two tackles for a loss, including his first sack for a loss of two yards against Middle Tennessee...ended the year with four tackles for a loss of three yards...credited with one forced fumble, three hurries and a blocked pass and kick.

2004: Redshirted...gained valuable experience and size.

High School: Outstanding athlete with tremendous physical tools and leadership qualities...played for Coach Bertani at North Miami High School, where he contributed on both sides of the ball throughout high a senior, recorded 11.5 sacks and 45 total tackles...offensively, he had 43 pancakes...earned second-team All-Dade honors for his efforts...three-sport athlete (football, basketball and track & field).

Personal: Health administration...son of Avonda Dowling and grandson of Beatrice Reed...born Sept. 20, 1986, in Miami, FL...his brother, Jamall Jackson, plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.
