Statesman of the linebackers...will be instrumental in the transition.

2010: Saw action in 11 games...recorded a tackle in every game played except the last game of the season...had three solo tackles in a season-high, five-tackle performance versus Louisiana...recorded his first tackle for a loss in 2010 versus Arkansas State, a loss of two yards...did the same versus Middle Tennessee...forced a fumble versus Western Kentucky and had a total of four passes broken up...among linebackers, he and Yourhighness Morgan had a position high four each...recorded two at Western.

2009: Earned a starting spot as a true freshman and went into the spring neck and neck for the starting role in 2010...saw his first action against ULM, a game that he recorded two tackles...followed it up the following week with a two tackle performance versus Wyoming...drew his first start versus Arkansas State...recorded a career-high 12 tackles, seven assists, and recorded two for a loss of 14 including a sack for a loss of 10...started the following game versus Troy but an injury gave him limited action not only against Troy but the following two games...credited with a hurry and two breakups both against ASU.

High School: Played for Coach Hiedelburg at Miami Edison High School where he tallied 107 tackles, including 17 for a loss...had three sacks, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, one recovery and scored once as a senior...played in the North and South All-Star Games...three-sport athlete (football, basketball and track).

Personal: Undecided in major...son of Karlene Hinds and Marcel Gabriel...born in Kingston, Jamaica.
