2014: Selected to worked as part of the developmental unit...growth prompted the coaches to move him from developmental to the two-deep mid-way through the season...first collegiate game he recorded 118 yards without a negative yard and scored a TD in FAU's 45-38 victory over WKU...nearly broke the 100+ yard plateau a second game with 92 on 22 carries at No. 23 Marshall...longest run of the day for Howell versus the Herd was 12 yards....tallied seven carries and 43 yards versus UAB...longest run was a 22-yard run that ended with him going down with an injury.
High School: Played for Roger Pollard at Coral Gables Senior High School where he tallied 232 carries for 1,567 yards (6.8 yards per carry) and 13 scores...named 8A third team all-state and first team all-Dade...participated in the Dade/Broward All-Star Game...two-sport athlete (football and track and field) and listed as a Coral Gables Senior High School Senior of Distinction.
