Earned a spot on the Phil Steele's 2011 Preseason All-SBC Team (2nd DT)

Will be key to FAU's defense and the switch to a 3-4 front...expected to fight for the starting nose tackle spot.

2010: Turned in a strong season...with 26 tackles in a steady guard rotation...recorded three in the first game of the season and his first game back following a season-ending injury in 2009...recorded a career-high five versus ULM...recorded a tackle in all but one game, the Michigan State game at Ford Field, hosted by FAU...had a tackle for a loss versus UAB and a career high 1.5 tackles for a loss of 13 yards versus ULM...forced a fumble versus ULM, broke up a pass at UAB and earned a quarterback hurry at Texas.

2009: Played in five games...had worked into a solid rotation among the tackles until an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Motor City Bowl: Traveled with the squad and was credited for earning on tackle assists...it was for a loss of one...also had two quarterback hurries.

2008: Played in six games...recorded seven tackles on the year, three solo...recorded five in the North Texas game, three solo...had one tackle for a loss of two yards...forced a fumble versus North Texas...recorded a quarterback hurry versus ULL and two versus CMU...broke up a pass against FIU...credited with a pass broken up and three quarterback hurries which tied for the team lead.

2007: Used the year as a redshirt season.

High School: Played for Chris Merritt at Columbus High School, where he recorded 69 tackles, including nine sacks and 11 total for a loss...credited with eight quarterback hurries, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries...as a junior, he recorded 75 tackles, including 12 sacks and 15 for a loss...played in the Dade versus Broward All-Star Game...two-sport athlete (football and baseball).
