High School: Played for Chance Benton at American High School where he recorded 75 tackles, seven interceptions, recorded three forced fumbles, two touchdowns and 613 all-purpose yards as a senior on his way to a third team All-Dade County team selection...competed in the Dade vs. Broward All-Star game, a night that saw him grab two interceptions and three tackles in a performance that drew the attention from ESPN with comments like, "D.J. Fry locked up receivers on his way to recording two interceptions."...Rivals.com commented that "while there was a number of Division I players in the South Florida All-Star game, one of the top performances of the evening came from D.J. Frye."
