2010: Saw action in nine games in 2010 both in the backfield and on special teams...had two carries for a total of eight yards, his career long carry of seven yards, at Texas...tallied four kick returns...the first was versus UAB, his second, a career long of 25 yards was versus ULM...added a 15 yard return at Arkansas State and a six yard return versus Troy...earned six tackles, including four solo...first career tackle was a solo at ULM...his game high of two, a solo and an assist, was versus FIU and his final tackle, an assist was versus Troy. 2009: Redshirted the season. High School: Played for Josh Shapiro at Everglades High School where he rushed for 920 yards and recorded 25 receptions for 120 yards...earned first team All-County and second team All-State...two-sport athlete (football and track...runs the 100 in 10.8 and also competes in the 200 and long jump). Personal: Biological science major...son of Shermon Fortner and Grandson of Claretha Timmons...born in Miami, FL.
