2013: Made the transition from outside linebacker to tight end.

2012: Sat out due to injury.

2011: Saw action in seven games...was part of a linebacker core that began the year deep but injuries hit the unit hard...recorded a tackle, a solo, his first collegiate game at Florida and another versus UAB...used primarily on special teams.

2010: Used the year as a redshirt season.

High School: Played for Randy McPherson at Lowndes High School, a school rich with tradition and familiar with championships owning the state title in 1980, 1999, 2004, 2005 and 2007...tallied 236 tackles, 19 sacks and 50 tackles for a loss...as a senior he recorded 62 tackles, six sacks and was credited with 16 tackles for a loss...three-time All-Region selection and a two-time, first team All-Region Georgia defensive team member...All-State honorable mention selection in 2009...served as the team's captain in 2009 and became the program's all-time sack leader...earned first team all-combine by Scout.com and participated in the Under Armour Combine in March 2008...two-sport athlete (football and basketball).

Personal: History major...son of LC and Margorie Copeland II...born and raised in Lowndes County, GA...second player from the state of Georgia to play for the Owls; Kinyumba Mutakabbir was the first (2001-04) and was also a linebacker.
