BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team will begin Conference USA play on Saturday at rival FIU. The Owls will be looking to win their conference opener for the first time since 2012, when they were still members of the Sun Belt Conference.

Owls Overwhelm FIU 83-65
A 15-1 second half run was the difference in the Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team’s 83-65 win over FIU on Thursday night. Four different Owls scored during the rally. The victory snapped a four game losing streak and improved FAU to 6-13 overall and 2-6 in Conference USA play.

 

Last Week: FAU (6-6) lost its last game, 95-60 to Minnesota on Dec. 23, despite three players scoring in double-digits.   

 

History: The Panthers (6-6) lead the all-time series 22-17 on the court, but vacated several wins due to NCAA sanctions.
