BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic senior guard Greg Gantt was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week after leading the Owls to a pair of wins last weekend. It is the second time in his career that Gantt has won the award. He was the last FAU player to win the honor, back on February 7, 2011.
Gantt averaged 26.5 points and six rebounds in FAU's two games last week scoring a career high 34 points and seven rebounds in an 88-78 win over Stetson on Tuesday night. He followed that up with 19 points and five rebounds against Warner on Sunday.
For the year, Gantt is first in the Sun Belt and 14th in scoring at 20.8 points per game and 19th in the nation with 3.2 three-pointers per game.
