BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will make its first road trip in nearly three weeks when it travels to Stetson University on Thursday night. It's the first meeting between the two schools since a 68-62 FAU win on November 16, 2007 in Daytona Beach as part of the Glenn Wilkes Classic.
The Owls (3-4) won two of their three games during their homestand, defeating American and Arkansas State and losing to South Alabama. With the win over Arkansas State, Mike Jarvis became FAU's winningest coach at the Division I level. Senior guard Greg Gantt averaged 27 points per game over the three games. Gantt is tied for the Sun Belt lead in scoring at 19.1 points per game.
Stetson (2-4) comes into the game on a three game losing streak including an 86-63 loss at Bethune-Cookman on Monday. Junior guard Aaron Graham leads the team in scoring at 15.4 points per game.
