Senior Eszter Bucz won three events last weekend at the Pitt Invitational

Moody helped the Owls to their first win of the season, scoring 19 points in a 64-61 victory over Coppin State last Saturday. The 5-foot-10 freshman guard from Kissimmee, Florida scored 22 points and grabbed eight rebounds one day later in FAU's 62-59 overtime loss at Elon. Both games were part of the Mainland Regional of the EA Sports Invitational. For the week, Moody averaged 20.5 points and 4.5 rebounds a game.
The men's basketball team will host American University in its home opener on Saturday, November 24, starting at 1 p.m. in the FAU Arena, 777 Glades Road on the Boca Raton campus.
Meanwhile, Bucz won three events to highlight the women's swimming and diving team's performance at the Pitt Invitational last weekend in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Hungary native won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:01.32. She also picked up victories in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.08) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:19.89).
The swimming and diving teams will host a meet against Northwestern University, the University of Denver and Northern Arizona University on December 21.
