Towson Notes Get Acrobat Reader


BOCA RATON, Fla. -  The Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team will travel to Estero, Florida for the Gulf Coast Showcase, where the Owls (1-1) will play three games in three days. FAU’s first opponent is Towson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20. Northern Illinois, Penn, Missouri State, Georgia Southern, Manhattan and UMKC make up the rest of the field. The Owls will play either Penn or NIU in their second game on Tuesday.

 

Last Week: FAU defeated Edward Waters 91-59 on Thursday, Nov. 16 behind Gerdarius Troutman’s 23 points. Jailyn Ingram (18) and Anthony Adger (15) also scored in double-digits for the Owls.      

 

History: Of the other seven teams in the field, the Owls have only previously faced UMKC and Manhattan. Both all-time series are tied, with both the Owls and UMKC having defeated each other twice, and FAU and Manhattan having split their only two encounters.
