FAU-MSU Game Notes

STARKVILLE, MS - Coming off of an 80-56 loss to North Carolina on Sunday, the Florida Atlantic men's basketball will travel to Starkville, MS for the third year in a row to take on Mississippi State.

The Owls and Bulldogs split their first two meetings, with FAU winning on November 30, 2010 61-59 and MSU hanging on for a 75-68 win last season. Mississippi State lost its season opener to another Sun Belt team, Troy 56-53 on Friday night.

Owls Hang Tough, But Can't Topple #17 Mississippi State 75-68
Florida Atlantic returned to the site of one of last season's biggest victories and fought valiantly, but could not pull off a repeat of last season's win, falling to #17 Mississippi State 75-68 on Tuesday

Senior guard Greg Gantt lead the Owls with 18 points on Sunday and junior guard Pablo Bertone had 14 points and seven rebounds in last year's meeting between the two teams.
