BOCA RATON, FL - Former Florida Atlantic basketball player Brett Royster has signed with the Leichester Riders of the British Basketball League.
Royster, who ended his FAU career in March as the Sun Belt's all-time shot block leader joined the Riders in London and scored 11 points and had two blocks in just 20 minutes in his first game less than 24 hours later.
"I thought his minutes on the floor were very productive. I thought he did a good job...The minutes he had on the floor were very productive on both ends. Defensively he adds a dimension," said Riders coach Rob Paternostro of Royster.
The Riders' season runs through April. Fans can follow the team through their official team page here and through its official Twitter page at www.twitter.com/ridersbball.
