High-scoring guard Paul Graham III and the Owls will play in the Preseason NIT

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University men's basketball 2008-09 schedule recently was announced and includes 14 home games, non-conference match-ups at the University of Kentucky, as well as play at the University of Miami. FAU also will make its first appearance in the Preseason National Invitation Tournament.
Under Head Coach Mike Jarvis, FAU is set to play a challenging 18-game regular-season Sun Belt Conference schedule. FAU's non-conference slate includes games with members of the BIG EAST Conference, Southeastern Conference and Conference USA.
The Owls open the regular season on Friday, November 14 with a non-conference home game against Monmouth University. FAU will play its home games at the FAU Arena, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus, debuting with an exhibition on Wednesday, November 5 against Lynn University.
The Owls' Sun Belt opener will be played at the University of Denver on Tuesday, December 16. It will be the first of a four-game road trip for FAU, concluding with a game against the University of Kentucky in Lexington on Saturday, December 27.
The bulk of FAU's home schedule will be played in the month of January. The University of South Alabama and Western Kentucky University, both NCAA Tournament qualifiers a year ago, visit Boca Raton in early January. The Owls will play five Sun Belt Conference opponents at home in January and three more SBC home games before its regular-season home schedule concludes February 21, 2009 against Middle Tennessee State University.
