Stefan Moody led the team with a 16.5 scoring average. In FAU's 76-71 victory over ULM, Moody scored 16 points and he was one of five Owl players to score in double figures. On Saturday, Moody had a game high 17 points. For the week, he shot .524 from the field including .500 from the three point line. He is FAU's second leading scorer, averaging 14.4 points per game.
FAU's men's basketball team plays FIU on Thursday, February 7 at 7 p.m. and then travels to South Alabama on Saturday, February 9 for an 8:30 p.m. game against the Jaguars. Saturday's game will air on the Sun Belt Network (CSS locally).
Anett Kovacs led FAU's women's team to a victory against Daytona State College last Saturday with three first-place finishes. Kovacs hit the pad first in the 200-yard free with a finals time of 1:42.44 and the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.95). She currently holds FAU's all-time record in the 200-yard butterfly when she swam 1:58.39 last season. Kovacs also claimed victory in the 500-yard free, finishing more than 10 seconds faster than the second finisher.
The swimming and diving teams travel to Orlando for the three-day long All Star Meet, February 8-10. The Owls will then compete in the Conference USA Championships in Houston, February 20-23.
