BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team will play two games that could prove crucial when they travel to Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky.
Although only five games into the 20-game conference schedule, this week's games could have long lasting ramifications for both the regular season race as well as seeding for the conference tournament.
The Owls can give themselves a great early advantage with a pair of victories this week as they play two divisional rivals. Middle Tennessee (12-4, 4-1) is currently leading the East while Western Kentucky (10-7, 4-2) is tied with South Alabama for second in the East.

The Florida Atlantic men's basketball team started out hot, but couldn't maintain its quick start and eventually fell to Western Kentucky 64-57 on Thursday night.
